Doris de Hilster is a Brazilian Clothes designer and entrepreneur who has a love for clothes and costumes. Starting in Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro, Doris moved to California with scientist and artist husband David where she started her own line of clothes and costumes. In 2014, Doris moved to Florida and started working with alterations in high-end fashion, eventually working as a general manager of a dry cleaning business. Now she owns her own dry cleaning business started in 2022.

A Passion for People

To say that Doris is a “people person” is an understatement. Her clients love her and her friends even more. Doris brings her “carioca” (native of Rio de Janeiro) charm and love of life to everything she does.

Doris as Costume Designer

Doris started designing Brazilian Costumes in the 1990s in Long Beach California under her business name “Samba Collection”. It was quite successful and she became known world-wide for her work.
